Plans for expansion/upgrading: In addition to upgrades and a redesign of the Main Campus front entrance, which includes a new 1,200 square foot Barnes & Noble College bookstore, there are also currently renovations taking place at the College’s Extension Center / Russell J. Salvatore School of Hospitality and Business located off of Transit Road in Lancaster, NY. This project, partially funded by the Statler Foundation, has three primary goals: establish the Statler Foundation: Hospitality, Food, and Nutrition Service Learning Laboratory, establish the Learning Commons – this portion of the project will integrate the functions of the library with a multi-use learning commons environment, and provide an event space at Transit. We celebrate this project as giving the college a great deal of new flexibility while providing space focused on food and beverage service operations in a dedicated learning lab.

Community involvement: Continuing the tradition of our founders, the Sisters of Mercy, Trocaire “meets an unmet need.” We welcome students of all backgrounds and beliefs with open and inclusive arms, and we nurture their ambition and innate talents, preparing them for careers of service. The Mercy spirit is especially present in our emphasis on service learning. Trocaire College offers an education that prepares graduates to take their place in the world beyond our walls. Service learning is part of that preparation.
