Bus Mechanic

1.0 FTE – Bus Mechanic Probationary / 12 month Civil Service Non-Competitive Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License - Class B with Passenger (P) & (S) endorsements issued by the State of New York at the time of appointment. Preferred – New York State Heavy Vehicle Inspection License Candidates must be a least twenty-one (21) years of age. (a) Graduation from high school or vocational school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and three (3) years of experience as a journey man automotive mechanic; or (b) Seven (7) years of experience as a journeyman automotive mechanic; or (c) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (a) and (b).
