If you thrive on the hustle of breaking news, the Arizona Daily Star, a Lee Enterprises company, has the ideal job for you. We are looking for an entry-level journalist to cover breaking news across all platforms, but primarily for a digital audience. As breaking news reporter you will produce timely, accurate, concise and well-structured stories about public safety, traffic, weather and other topics. You will file stories from the field and will produce stories, videos and photos. To be the best candidate for the job you must understand the importance of breaking and updating news online and be willing to learn and use various digital tools to engage readers. You should know photography basics and be able to shoot photos at news scenes as needed. As part of our digital news team you will work closely with teammates and will receive regular training. Hours are Sunday-Thursday, mostly days but there will be some night shifts depending on news. News writing experience is required. The ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
