The Twiner Herald, a Lee Enterprises Inc. publication, is seeking an Editor to lead our team and build relevance within the Logan and Woodbine communities and surrounding area by covering breaking news, local government, schools, crime and compelling feature stories. In this fast-paced role, the editor is a jack-of-all-trades by writing editorials, covering sports, editing op-eds, writing headlines, taking photos and video, choosing graphics, maintaining the website and social media platforms and preparing the design/layout for this weekly publication.
Are you Ready?
If you are a strong storywriter, enjoy variety, are deadline driven, possess sound judgment, and can work independently, this may be the role for you! Candidates should possess three or more years' experience covering news, be proficient in InDesign, and interest in working within the local community. The ability to source and develop sources, write compelling stories relevant to our readers, and take and utilize photos and video to enhance our on-line and social medial presence is critical.
