Under the general direction of the Associate Vice President for Development, and the direct supervision of one of the school’s Major Gift Officers, the Leadership Giving Officer will be responsible for soliciting leadership-level gifts ($500-5,000) for the college. The successful candidate will develop and manage relationships with donors and prospects and will be expected to qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward the college’s most generous annual donors.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Outstanding work organization and time management skills.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends and travel.
Experience in not-for-profit, solution-sales, or customer-relations environment.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment-with a mix of faculty, parents, alumni and staff colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in higher education and annual gift fundraising. ·
Experience in personally soliciting gifts.
Some experience with and knowledge of customer-relationship management software. Experience in Raiser’s Edge/NXT, or similar fundraising software, preferred.
